Steve Oliver

Guitarist and singer Steve Oliver is a true live experience. This bundle of positive energy completes 200 performances per year and captivates the audience with his music. “Positive Energy” is also the title of his hit 2002 album, which hit the Billboard Top 20 and ranked #1 on the year end list of the fifty most played recordings throughout Canada in 2003. That means he topped legends like David Sanborn, Steely Dan and Michael McDonald. Another milestone: the single “High Noon”. It reached #3 on the Radio & Records smooth jazz airplay chart in the USA. However the list of his achievements is not over: A nomination for “Best New Artist” and “Best Guitar Player” for 2003 by the organizers of the National Smooth Jazz Awards. At the beginning of his career, his hit debut “First View” was nominated for an AFIM Award (Association for Independent Music) for best smooth jazz recording of 1999. This album scored three hit radio singles and earned Oliver the distinction of “Debut Artist of the Year” from the publication Smooth Jazz News. He has toured and performed with genre stars and legends like Chris Botti, Rippingtons, Michael Franks, Kyle Eastwood, Fourplay and Steve Reid. His latest album: “One Night Live” (2008).
