Club des Belugas

Club des Belugas is one of the leading NuJazz projects in Germany – perhaps even in Europe. The combination of contemporary European Lounge & NuJazz styles with Brazilian beats, Swing and American Soul of the 50s, 60s and 70s provides a unique musical landscape rich in intensity and energy. Club des Belugas started their career in 2002 with the album “Caviar at 3 am”. The following year they released “Minority Tunes”, which included the German Club Charts #1 hits “Hip hip chin chin” and “Gadda Rio”. In 2006 they enriched the world of music with a real masterpiece called “apricoo soul”. The 12″ vinyl “Wildcats gotta move” reached German Club Charts #3 and stayed in the Top Ten for eight weeks. They included a remix of Dean Martin´s “Mambo Italiano” which was the first worldwide legal remix of any Dean Martin track, authorized by Capitol/EMI and the Dean Martin Family themselves. Tracks from Club des Belugas have been licensed for more than 520 compilations as well as advertisements and TV commercials from companies such as: Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Campari, Martini or Strenesse. In total, Club des Belugas tracks have been released on more than four million CDs.
