Brian Simpson

Brian Simpson grew up near Chicago. He went on to study at Northern Illinois Uni-versity where he majored in piano and won numerous downbeat awards in the school’s big band. Upon graduating in music he moved to Los Angeles, quickly im-mersing in the local jazz scene with Everette Harp, Boney James and Norman Brown. Beside the jazz scene he travels all over the world with pop divas Teena Marie, Sheena Easton and Janet Jackson. He has toured with some of the greats of recent jazz history, including George Duke, Stanley Clarke, Larry Carlton, George Howard, Billy Cobham and Gerald Albright. For the past ten years he has been the musical director of smooth jazz saxophonist Dave Koz. Brian made his breakthrough as a solo artist with his debut album It’s All Good in 2006. The album Above The Clouds established him as accomplished artist and continues his track record.
